Dave and I were able to take a brief vacation to Blowing Rock, NC., with one thing in mind...doing absolutely nothing except getting fresh air and sunshine. We stayed at the Chetola Resort in the Bob Timberlake Inn and had such a wonderful, restful time, we didn't want to come home! Enjoy the pics of our few blissful days in the mountains. We hope they can convey the peace and comfort we found there, soaking in the majesty of God's creation!

Absolutely beautiful! Glad you had a nice time! We actually rode by there in July when we were on our way to our room at Motel 6. Well, it was more accurately Motel 3 for us...we got the half-price rate for the room next to the elevator...on the first floor...beside the lobby...yes,that's the one...the lobby with the arcade...and all-night grill that was hosting Debbie-Sue's (who happens to be dating a really handsome, if not somewhat homely and very muscular gal named Gus) coming out party...yep,... we're really, really, really glad you had a nice time.
